Fixed study groups at Political Science

At Political Science the tutors are responsible for forming the study groups. Tutors Lucas Poulsen (third semester) and Daniel Møller (seventh semester) think this is a good solution.

"The first-year students have three subjects during the first semester. One subject has a fixed group that does a project together. In the two other subjects they have rotating study groups where they work together with different students every week," says Daniel Møller and continues:

"When we get to the autumn holidays we take a class list and the new students can tick off who they would like to be in a study group with. The tutors form the fixed study groups for at least one semester. The groups also have a contact tutor who can help if problems arise."

Lucas Poulsen adds:

"It’s a good and pedagogical solution. You learn a lot about cooperation and the study groups are indispensable at Political Science. It also means that you can focus on the social during the Freshers' Week and don’t have to fight to get in a group like they do on Paradise Hotel."
