The tradition of taking an internship is not as widespread at ST as it is at other AU degree programmes.

"So this is an area where we students will not see much difference following the study progress reform," says vice-chair of the board of studies for the Aarhus School of Science, computer science student Philip Tchernavskij.

On the other hand, he does not deny that it can be a problem for some students who have jobs alongside their degree programme.

"Taking my own degree programme which is computer science as an example, it’s not unusual to have student jobs which provide the practical experience that both students and employers of computer scientists are looking for. The study progress reform can potentially limit this possibility for the students," he says.
