Students' social disposition put to work
The student run-organisation FOSIA (Forum for Social Innovation Aarhus) holds an annual case competition. This year it attracted 100 students from all over the country. FOSIA has its focus on social problems and the participants compete in groups made up of students from different degree programmes.
Your city
Three cases were presented under the theme of “Your city”. All had the aim of making living in Aarhus better. The first case was provided by Aarhus University Hospital, who wanted solutions that could increase patient satisfaction. The second was provided by Aarhus Municipality’s Centre for Urban Development and Mobility, who were looking for ideas to ensure that there was urban life in the south harbour district. Last but not least, Falck wished to help elderly people to remain in their own homes as long as possible.
The organisations presenting the cases and the judges selected a winning group for each of the three cases.
An app for the hospital
Aarhus University Hospital fell head-over-heels for the idea of an app to help patients through the course of their illness – from regular contact with the doctor to practical information and knowledge about the disease.
