From 1 February Omnibus will only be published online

The senior management team has decided that Omnibus should be digitised. So if you’re sitting with a print version of the newspaper, you now have the penultimate Omnibus in your hands. The last printed newspaper will be published on 1 February.

About Omnibus

Omnibus is AU's official newspaper and its target group are the university’s students and employees. The newspaper has been published in print six times a year since 2013.

The editors have journalistic freedom, and an editorial committee comprising employees and students at AU monitors their work. As part of an evaluation of Omnibus an editorial committee has asked various stakeholders – among others the senior management team, the Student Council and the academic council – to assess whether Omnibus has met the requirements for a journalistically independent media at AU.

Read the mandate for the newspaper (in Danish)

Omnibus will continue as AU's independent media, providing in-depth journalism, current news stories and reports that are relevant for students and staff at AU.

Instead of being published six times a year, Omnibus will provide ongoing news at omnibus.au.dk – as well as on Facebook and Twitter.

The mandate that forms the basis for both the paper’s editorial committee as well as its editorial work clearly states that Omnibus should at some point become an entirely digital media. The senior management team has subsequently determined the date for this digitisation.

The editorial team is working closely with the editorial committee to prepare for the forthcoming digitisation and also, in connection with this, to ensure that omnibus.au.dk has the greatest possible awareness among its target group.

The editors are very happy to receive suggestions and ideas from both students and employees.
