ST Communication reduced by half
The organisational changes at the administration at Science and Technology, which were announced before the summer holidays, have now finally fallen into place, says Administration Centre Manager Niels Damgaard Hansen.
ST Communication has been hardest hit and has lost six employees, so that the department now comprises five employees. Three employees have been made redundant, including the head of communications, while three more have been relocated within AU.
"The department is now reduced to 4.2 full-time equivalents. This is a dramatic reduction and it’s clear that there are services which the departments can no longer receive from ST Communication. For example the communication partner scheme, which we are unable to continue with," says Niels Damgaard Hansen.
In HR a single employee has been made redundant, while two employees from Research and Talent have been relocated.
The organisational changes take place in the wake of the work on the new organisation of AU that was presented by Rector Brian Bech Nielsen in October last year, which the faculties have continued to work on locally since the spring. At ST a working group consisting of the dean, the administration centre manager and the three department heads have had the task of looking at the organisation of the administration at the faculty. The faculty management team, secretariat managers and division managers have ratified the changes on the basis of the group’s recommendations.
