Associate Professor Søren Pold is the new employee representative on AU’s Board
Associate Professor Søren Pold is the new employee representative on AU’s Board. He is replacing Associate Professor Peter Bugge.
As of 1 August, Associate Professor Søren Pold from Information Studies and Digital Design at the School of Communication and Culture has replaced Associate Professor Peter Bugge from Eastern European Studies at the Department of Culture and Society as the employee representative on AU's board.
Søren Pold will provisionally join the board for the remainder of Peter Bugge’s term, which runs until 31 January 2016. Together with Professor Susanne Bødker from the Department of Computer Science, Peter Bugge has represented the employee position on the board since February 2012.
Bugge moving to the University of Copenhagen
Peter Bugge is stepping down form the board because he has a new job at the University of Copenhagen. He will continue to be employed at Aarhus University, but only to such an extent that he cannot remain on the board.
"I will be starting an English-language Master's supplementary subject in Central European Studies with particular focus on the Visegrad Group of countries, which is to say Poland, the Czech Republic, Slovakia and Hungary," says Peter Bugge on his new position at the University of Copenhagen.
"I have chosen to change jobs because the new supplementary subject gives me a chance to work one hundred per cent with my core disciplines, which is something that has become more difficult at AU after Czech and Hungarian were closed down. However, the latter comment shouldn’t be interpreted as frustration and neither am I slamming the door behind me as I leave," he continues.
